S.A.S.: The History of the Special Air Service Regiment

Thirty years ago families returning home after a day's outing on Bank Holiday Monday, 5 May 1980, were treated to a ringside seat, viewing on their television screens blow by blow actions of a mysterious, masked, black-clad military unit engaged in rescuing hostages and in ruthlessly executing their terrorist captives with lethal and accurate gunfire.
